Despite losing our top candidate halfway through, we still managed to find an excellent fit who met all the requirements for the role and was ready to start ASAP.
Our mission was to find a CRO Specialist to join Wuffes, an eCommerce brand specializing in dog supplements to create a CRO strategy, as well as oversee the optimization and development of the website and its sales funnel
To attract applicants with the desired qualities, we at Prosana worked closely with our client to come up with selling points, requirements, and skills necessary for this position.
• The brand has established processes and funnels • The brand was created by founders who have a lot of previous eCommerce experience • Opportunities for growth and career development, as well as the space to experiment and continue to grow the department
• Previous experience working with an eCommerce brand or agency & successful track record • In-depth knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Analytics • Experience with testing tools such as Optimizely
• Analytical & data-driven • Communication proficiency • Research abilities • Pro-active & hungry • Creativity
We began by running paid ads in several locations. On top of that, we were actively sourcing candidates who have been working with eCommerce brands that were well-established, and eCommerce marketing agencies
The test required candidates to showcase a successful case study, their workflow when starting to do CRO, and how they would achieve their set KPIs. We chose a website and asked them to guide us through their work
• CRO Specialists are looking for companies that understand how relevant and important CRO is to their brand, not just an afterthought • It’s important for the brand to be big enough & have enough traffic to allow the CRO specialist to properly A/B test and optimize, so ensuring you’ve got the backbone for that is vital • We had to prepare analytics and data in advance, as CRO specialists are extremely number-orientated and will ask about it • Experience is essential, but not as much as the culture fit, which needs to be thoroughly identified before the job offer is signed!
